Mohammad Hafeez Cricket

Mohammad Hafeez is a Pakistani all-rounder batting at the top of the order generally opens the batting and bowls right arm of the spine. He is one of the top all-rounders in the world and known as a professor in the team. He is so intelligent with the bowl dangerous for the lefties. He played in all formats of cricket for Pakistan but, in December 2018 during the series against New Zealand he took retirement from Test cricket. He said that he wants to focus on limited overs cricket. Hafeez captained Pakistan team in T20 cricket.

In domestic cricket he played for serval teams he made his First-class career and List A debut back in 1998/99 season for Sargodha. In 2001/2 and 2018-19 he went to play for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in 4 days first class and List A matches. He also played for Faisalabad Wolves from 2005/12 when he was selected by Lahore Lions he played for them from 2012/15. He played in different leagues as well. He played in CPL for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in  2017. He played for Rajshahi Kings in BPL in 2019 season. In 2016 he was selected by Peshawar Zalmi he did well for Zalmi in first three editions of the PSL then he joined Lahore Qalandars as a captain in the fourth season of the PSL.

Hafeez made his ODI and Test debut in 2003. He played his first Test match against Bangladesh and his debut ODI against Zimbabwe. He played in T20 cricket format for Pakistan as well he made his debut in 2006. In late 2003 Hafeez was dropped from the test squad and ODI Squad. He returned in ODI squad in 2005 and in 2006 series against Australia he made he is first ever century while in England he scored 95 runs. In 2010 he was returned into the team for ICC World T20 squad he didn’t perform well their he scored just 39 runs and took only two wickets. But he retained in T20 squad and he was also selected for ODI squad as well He played in all 5 ODI matches ending up as the top run scorer and he also topped the bowling averages for the series. At the end of 2010, he was also selected for the party that would tour New Zealand and the West Indies and this resulted in him establishing himself as a regular in the Test, ODI, and T20 teams. In 2011 he won 10 Man-of-the-Match awards in all forms of international cricket and became only the third player to score 1000 runs and take 30 wickets in ODI matches within a calendar year.

In 2012 he was appointed as the captain of the Pakistan cricket team in the T20 format. He captained the side in T20 ICC World T20 the team reached semi-final where the lost to Australia and ager some conflict with PCB he decided to step down from captaincy. 
In 2016 he was picked for England series his performance was not up to the mark and he was dropped from the team due to bad form. In 2017 Hafeez was picked for Australia tour where he led the team in two ODIs.

In 2014 Hafeez bowling action was reported and found illegal his elbow extension up to 31 degrees.in April Hafeez cleared his bowling action. But his action once again reported in the Galle Test. Hafeez has been banned from bowling in international cricket for 12 months following an independent assessment of his action, which took place at the Sri Ramachandra University in Chennai on 6 July. The 34-year-old was assessed after the legality of his bowling action came under question by the match officials during Pakistan’s first Test victory over Sri Lanka in Galle (17–21 June).
Following the match, Hafeez was reported by the match officials pursuant to the ICC Regulations for the Review of Bowlers Reported with Suspected Illegal Bowling Actions (the "Regulations") and subsequently underwent the independent assessment in Chennai in accordance with the regulations. The assessment revealed that Hafeez’s elbow extension exceeded 15 degrees while bowling and, thus, he employed an illegal bowling action.
