Karachi Kings PSL Cricket

Karachi kings is a Pakistan's super league cricket team formed ni 2015 Owned by Salman Iqbal Ary group owner. The team is Karachi based which is the capital of Sindh province. Home ground of the team is National Stadium Karachi. Currently captained by Imad Wasim and coached by Pakistani national team coach Mickey Arthur and Wasim Akram is the president of the team. The top run scorer for Karachi is Baber Azam while Mohammad Amir is leading wicket-taker. Karachi Kings is the most expensive of PSL till 2017 sold out for 26 million us dollars for ten years however, in 2018 Multan Sultans replaced Karachi as the most expensive team of the PSL till now. Multan Sultan sold out for the US $41.6 million.

In the first edition of the PSL Kings started the tournament with a win as the tournament progresses they didn’t perform well they manages to win only two games during the group's stages. They finished the fourth position in the table and qualified for the playoffs. Before qualifier match against Islamabad United Shoaib Malik left the captaincy of kings Ravi Bopara replaced him as the captain of the team. In the qualifier kings lowest score of the tournament, they were defeated and eliminated from the tournament.   

In the second edition of the PSL Kings have joined by icon players like Kumar Sangakkara and Babar Azam and Chris Gayle and they retained 10 players in the squad including Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, Ravi Bopara, Muhammad Amir and they added Kieron Pollard, Mahela Jayawardena, and Ryan Mclaren.
Kings were not off to the good start they lost first three games in a row. In the fourth match, they manage to win as per Duckworth-Lewis method against the defending champions Islamabad United. they lost to Quetta and pushed on the bottom of the table. In the last game of group stage, they have a must-win game against the rivals Lahore it was proved to be a thrilling match where Pollard hits back-to-back sixes and winning the game for the Karachi to keep his team alive in the tournament.

In the eliminator match against United, kings set 126 on the board in 20 overs. United was not able to chase the target and they were bowled out on just 82 runs and kings qualified for second playoff match where they faced Peshawar. They lost to Peshawar and were eliminated from the tournament.    

In the third edition of the PSL Shahid Afridi joined Kings as president and player kings did well in the tournament and manages to qualified to playoff stages but in the second eliminator kings got eliminated from the tournament lost to Peshawar. 
In the fourth edition of the PSL Kings joined by Wasim Akram as president and some big names players like Awais Zia, Iftikhar Ahmed, Colin Munro, Colin Ingram, Sikandar Raza, Ben Dunk, Liam
Livingstone, and Jaahid Ali. They have a strong squad they can do anything in the tournament.
