Multan Sultan PSL Cricket

Multan Sultan is a Pakistan’s super League cricket team. Multan sultan inducted as a sixth team in PSL in 2017 third edition of PSL. First, it was bought by Sochon Properties in US 41.6$ million. Thus Multan Sultan is the most expensive of the PSL.

In November 2018, PCB terminated the rights of Schon Properties due to the franchise failing to pay the annually US$ 5.2 Million after that joint statement issued by Pakistan Cricket Board and Schon Properties that all rights have returned back to PCB.

Pakistan Cricket Board process the public tender to sell rights of the team. PCB took the responsibility of players and coaches contracts. In January 2019 Ali Tareen won the bid and retained the name of the team as Multan Sultan.   
The team based in Multan. Multan Cricket Stadium is the home ground of the Multan Sultan. Shoaib Malik is the captain of the team Waseem Akram is appointed as director of the team while Johan Botha appointed as team’s head coach. 

In the third edition of the PSl sultan had their first tournament. They had a mixed tournament although they began their journey in PSl on winning note but they couldn’t have reached to the playoff stages.
