Sheldon Cottrell


Sheldon Cottrell is a West Indies Cricketer. He is Right-handed batsman and left-arm fast-medium bowler.He played in 10 ODI matches and scored 14 runs with a batting average of 26.80. His highest score in T20 matches is 127 with a batting average of 7.93.




Domestic Career:                                                   

In 2010 he started to play domestic cricket for Jamaica and his played for Jamaica till 2016. He represents Trinidad and Tobago in his first-class cricket. In 2013-2014 he played for Antigua Hawksbills. For St Kitts and Nevis Patriots he played in 2015. He started to play for Leeward Islands in his first-class cricket in 2018. For the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada tournament, he was selected to play for the Vancouver Knights. In eight matches of that tournament, he proved himself as a leading wicket-taker with sixteen dismissals.

International Career:

He made his Test debut against India  at Eden Gardens, Kolkata in November 2013 in the penultimate Test of Sachin Tendulkar. He was dropped for the second test of the series in Mumbai because he didn’t perform very well in his first test debut.
In March 2014 he made his T20I debut against England and scored 2 for 37.On 25 January 2015 against South Africa he made his One Day International debut for West Indies. For 2015 World Cup squad he was included in the team. On 23 December 2017 against New Zealand, he returned to the ODI as he didn’t play any match in ODI since from 2 years.He was selected for 2019 Cricket World Cup in April 2019.
