Bhuvneshwar Kumar Mavi Cricket
Bhuvneshwar Kumar Mavi is a Right-arm medium-fast bowler plays for Indian national cricket team and in domestic cricket, he plays for Uttar Pradesh. He swings the bowl both ways to both left and right-handed batsman and an effective lower-order right-handed batsman. He plays for India in all three formats of the cricket.
Domestic career:
Kumar made his first-class debut against Bengal for Uttar Pradesh in 2007/08 season till now. He also played for Central Zone in Duleep Trophy. He played in the semi-final where he scored 128 off 312 balls and took one wicket.
In IPL he was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore for 2009 and 2010 season but in 2011 season he went to Pune Warriors India and in 2016 season he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and impressed everyone with his all-around performance he was the leading wicket-taker in that season with 23 wickets and won the purple cap and led his team to win the trophy. He also took five wickets to haul against Kings XI Punjab.
In 2017 season Kumar won the purple cap for the second consecutive time picking up 26 wickets. Hyderabad made him vice-captain of the team for the 2018 season with his performance make his team to the finals.
International Career:
Kumar made his international T20 debut for India on December 25, 2012, against Pakistan at Bengaluru where he was impressed with the bowl picked up 3 wickets for just 9 runs in 4 overs. In 2018 a series against South Africa he took 5 wickets for 24 runs in a first match became the second bowler to do this and in 2nd T20i he took 2 wickets and won the player of the series award. So far he played 37 T20i matches for India picking up 36 wickets at the bowling average of 25.83 with best bowling figures of 5/24.
In One Day International, he made his debut against Pakistan in the same series on 30th December 2012 where he dismissed Mohammad Hafeez on the very first bowl of the match. In 2013 he was selected for 2013 where a match against Sri Lanka he picked his best bowling figures 4/8 and won the man of the match series award.
In 2015 ICC cricket world cup he played only one match and due to poor fitness, he could not play any other match of the tournament. In 2017 ICC Champions Trophy he led the Indian bowling attack and make his team to the finals. He played 105 ODIs for India so far where he took 118 wickets at the average of 35.66. 5/42 is his best bowling figures.
Kumar played his debut Test match against Australia he couldn’t able to take any wicket in the first inning of the match while in second inning he didn’t get the chance to bowl but in the batting he made a massive partnership with M.S. Dhoni for 9th wicket of 140 runs while in the second match against Australia he took 3 wickets in the second inning of the match and remained wicketless in the first inning of the match. So far he played 21 test match took 63 wickets with an average of 26.09 with 6/82 best bowling figures.
