Rohit Sharma Cricket

Rohit Gurunath Sharma is an Indian national cricketer who played for India in all the three formats of the cricket. He is a right arm opening batsman and he can bowl right arm of the spine. He is also vice-captain of the Indian cricket team. Sharma is the only man in international cricket who has three double hundreds in ODIs. He is the fastest batsman to score hundred in T20 format for India. His frequency of scoring hundred is 5.55 every innings. He also captained Indian cricket team in ODIS in 9 matches under his captaincy India won 8 matches.

Domestic Career:

Sharma started his cricket as an off-spinner in 1999 and joined cricket camp later his coach saw a batting talent in and promoted him to the opener from No 8. He played Harris and Giles school cricket tournament where he scored a hundred.
He made his debut list A for West Zone against Central Zone in Deodar Trophy. He made his first List A century against North Zone where he made 142 runs and remained not out. in 2006 Rohit made his First-class debut for India A against New Zealand while he played for Mumbai in Ranji trophy where he scored a double hundred against Gujrat.

International Career:

In 2007 for the first time, Rohit was selected in ODI squad for the tour of Ireland where he made his debut against Ireland but he didn’t bat in the match. Rohit made his first fifty against rives Pakistan after that he got selected for a series against Australia where he performed well and made 235 runs with an average of 33.57 which includes 2 fifties. He suffered from bad form and his position taken by Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli then he went back to domestic cricket and played Ranji trophy where he scored a triple hundred and got back his position in the team.in 2013 ICC Champions trophy he was promoted to open the batting for India. In 2014 he became the first batsman to score a double hundred he scored 264 runs against Sri Lanka.he played 205 matches for India till now he scored 7,954 runs at the average of 47.35 which includes 22 hundred and 40 fifties he also took 8 wickets. He has the record to hit seven times 150 runs in ODIs. 

Rohit Sharma made his T20 debut against England in 2007 then he got selected for ICC T20 world cup 2007 he performed well in the semi-final against South Africa he made his first fifty and remained unbeaten led India to victory. Sharma made his first T20 century against South Africa scored 106 runs. In 2017 he scored fasted T20 century off just 25 balls against Sri Lanka. Sharma became the second batsman internationally and first Indian to score 3 hundred and equaled the record of Colin Munro after scoring a century against England. On 7 November 2018, during the T20I against West Indies, Rohit Sharma became the first player to hit 4 T20 international centuries. He also captained the series against west indies which India won, making him as the Indian Captain with most wins in first 10 T20Is as captain. He remained unbeaten on 111 off 61 balls. He played 93 T20Is scored 2,326 runs at the average if 32.90 with 4 hundred and 16 fifties.

In February 2010 he was about to make his test debut but at the match morning, he got injured while playing football since he got recovered from injury other batsman took his place. In Test cricket, Rohit Sharma made his debut against West Indies in 2013. He played an inning of 177 runs in his debut match. He played 27 Test matches he scored 1,585 runs with an average of 39.62 including 3 centuries and 10 fifties.


IPL Career:

Sharma was signed up by the Deccan Chargers franchise for a sum of US$750,000 a year in 2008. He was one of the leading run scorers in the 2008 IPL season with 404 runs at an average of 36.72. He also held the coveted Orange Cap for a brief period.n the 2011 auction, he was sold for US$2 million to the Mumbai Indians.
Rohit scored his first IPL century against the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012, getting 109* in 60 balls 2013, Rohit was promoted as the permanent captain of the Mumbai Indians Mumbai Indians won the IPL title for the first time, under his captaincy.[103] It was a terrific season for him as a captain as his team went on to win the Champions League T20 as well. In 2017, the Mumbai Indians finished at the top of the table and also went on to win the final under his captaincy.[107] He is one of the two skippers to lead his team to win the IPL three times, the other being MS Dhoni who led Chennai Super Kings to victory in the 2018 IPL final.

Records and Awards:

With 71 sixes, Sharma hit the most number of sixes in a year (2018).
First person to score a century in all formats of the game in a single tour.
Rohit Sharma is the fastest Indian and second fastest in the world to hit 300 international sixes.
A hat-trick in the Indian Premier League
Tied with MS Dhoni for captaining a team to three IPL titles.
