Adam Zampa


Adam Zampa is a cricketer who plays for Australia cricket team at international level in limited overs format. He is leg break bowler. earlier he started as a medium pace bowler but he was restricted to bowl at under-14 the level then he transforms into a leg break bowler. and he a right-handed batsman. in the current team, he is Australia’s leading spin bowler in the team. He is also a part of 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup Australia’s squad.

Domestic Career:

Zampa started his domestic cricket in 2012/13 season for New South Wales in a first-class match against Queensland where he took 5 wickets in a match. He played only 3 first class games in the season took 10 wickets at an average of 23. In 2013 he moved to South Australia cricket team where he played in all three formats for his side. He got a hat trick in 2014/15 Matador BBQs One Day Cup and best bowling figures in List A career. 4/18.


In 2010/13 season he also got a chance to play in Big Bash league’s second edition for Sydney Thunder. In 2014/15 BBL season, he played for Adelaide Strikers while in 2015 he moved to Melbourne Star and currently he is the part of their squad. In 2016 he was selected by Rising Pune Supergiants in IPL and Guyana Amazon Warriors in CPL and In 2018 he moved to Jamaica Tallawahs. He also played in English County Cricket for Essex.

International Career:

Zampa made his ODI debut for Australia against New Zealand in 2016. He is the permeant member of Australia’s squad in ODI. He was also a part of 2017 ICC Champions Trophy squad but he was unable to make into the playing XI. He is the part of 2019 ICC World Cup squad of Australia cricket team. So far he played 44 ODIs took 60 wickets at an average of 35.45 with 4/43 best bowling figures.


In the shorter format, Zampa made his T20 debut against South Africa. he was the part of Australia squad in 2016 World Cup T20. Where he was the leading Wicket-taker for Australia taking 5 wickets at an average of 13.80. in the series against Sri Lanka he took 2 wickets in a match after that match he was dropped from playing 11 for rest of the 2 matches. So far he played 22 T20s where he took 23 at an average of 19.43 with best bowling figure 3/16.
