Aiden Kyle Markram Cricket

Aiden Kyle Markram is a cricketer who represents South African national team at international. He is a right-handed batsman usually opens the batting for his side and right arm off break bowler. He plays in all three formats of the cricket game. in Annual awards 2018, he was one of five who named as a cricketer of the years.

Domestic Career:

Markram started his first-class career in 2014 for Northern against South Western Districts. he also played in Africa T20 cup for Northern. In 2016 he played for Titans cricket team in Momentum one-day cup wherein final match 127 runs while in Mzansi Super League he was picked up by Paarl Rocks. He represents Durham in English county cricket for one season in 2018 and 2019 he moved to Hampshire cricket team. So far he played 58 first-class matches and 47 List A matches. He is playing at an average of 43.63 in first class and 43.25 in list A format. He scored 16 centuries and 25 fifties as well. he also represents South African U-19 cricket team and captained in 2014 ICC U-19 Cricket world cup and they were the winner as well.

International Career:

Markram made his test debut against Bangladesh in 2017 where he missed out his maiden century while in second test match he scored 143 off 186. So far he made 4 centuries and 6 fifties in test matches in 17 test matches and made 1,358 at an average of 43.80 with a top score of 152 runs.


Markram played his first ODI against Bangladesh in 2017 where he scored 66 runs and with the bowl, he took 2 wickets as well. he also captained South African cricket team when south Fat Du Plessis ruled out of the game. and he became the second youngest player to captain South African team. In 18 ODIs he scored 503 runs at an average 29.58 with 2 fifties and the best score of 67 runs not out and with the bowl, he also took 2 wickets as well.


in T20 format he made his debut in 2019 against Sri Lanka and also captained South African cricket team as well. he played 2 matches where scored only 18 runs the highest score of 15 strike rate 105.9.
