David Andrew Miller Cricket
David Andrew Miller is an international cricketer who represents South Africa national cricket team plays in limited overs format (ODI and T20). He is a left-handed Middle-order batsman can play aggressive shorts in all around the ground and a brilliant fielder as well. he can bowl right arm off the break as well. because of his aggressive batting style, he is known as “Miller Killer”.
Domestic Career:
Miller started his domestic career in 2007/08 season for Dolphins where he scored a half-century in the first innings he also played MTN domestic one-day championship in the same season as well where he could ‘not up to the mark with his batting. In 2015/16 season he once again appears for dolphin in domestic cricket he played Pro20 Series for Dolphins as well. In 2008/09 and 2015/16 seasons,, he moved to KwaZulu Natal. He also played English country club for Durham cricket team in 2011 and in 2012 he joined Yorkshire cricket team. In 2012 he got selected in IPL picked up King XI Punjab and he also captained Kings in 2016 season but kings lost 5 of 6 matches he was dropped as captain. He hit third fastest century of IPl against RCB he played an inning of 101 not out in just 38 balls. He played in BPL as well for Chittagong Kings in 2013 season. From 2016-18 he represents VKB Knights in South Africa domestic circuit. 2017 English county cricket he moved to Glamorgan county cricket club for only a season. In Mzansi Superleague 2018 season he represents Durban Heats.
International Career:
Miller made his international T20 debut for South Africa in 2010 against West Indies where he made only 6 runs in the match. In 2017 against Bangladesh he hit his maiden T20 century in just 35 balls and in the same match he became fifth South African batsman to score a 1,000 T20I runs as well. in 2018/19 series against Pakistan, he was named as captain of South Africa replacing Faf Du Plessis. In shorter format, he played 69 matches scored 1,291 runs at an average of 30.02 with 2 fifties and a hundred.
In ODI format Miller made his debut against West Indies in 2010 where he played an inning of 23 runs not out. He made his first fifty against Zimbabwe and he made his maiden ODI hundred West Indies in 2015. He was brilliant in world cup 2015 scored 324 runs at an average of 65. He also set the record of the highest partnership of 256* with JP Duminy as well and in 2017 he played his 100th ODI against Bangladesh and became third played to appears in 100 ODIs with playing a test match. So far he played 120 matches made 2,922 runs at an average of 38.96 with 5 hundred and 12 fifties with the best score of 139 runs.
