Hashim Mahomed Amla Cricket
Hashim Mahomed Amla is an international cricketer and a world-class batsman who represents South Africa national cricket team in all forms of the cricket. He is a right-handed batsman and he can bowl part-time off spine as well. Amla holds the various record in world cricket. He also captained the South Africa test team from June 2014 to January 2016. He holds the record of fastest batsman to make 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, and 7000 in ODIs. He is the fastest batsman to make 10 centuries in ODIs. He is also the batsman who scored 15 centuries in ODIs in just 86th innings. He is the fourth batsman to scored ODI centuries against all the Test Playing nations. In 2018 he broke the record of Virat Kohli's to and became the fastest cricketer to score 27 hundred in ODIs in 167 innings. Alma has scored 28 test and 27 ODI hundreds.
Domestic Career:
Amla debut in domestic cricket in 1999 for KwaZulu Natal Dolphins till 2013 and moved to Cape Cobras. In 2009 he played in English county cricket played for Essex for one season in 2010 he joined Nottinghamshire. He also played for 2013 Surrey for 2 seasons and for Derbyshire he played in 2015. He also appeared in IPL for Kings XI Punjab in 2016-17. He was also picked up by Trinbago Knight Riders in the 2016-17 season and Barbados Tridents in 2018. He also played for Hampshire in 2018 season. In 2018 he played for Durban Heat in Mzansi Super League as well.
International Career:
Amla made his test debut for South Africa in 2004 against India. Early in his career, he was struggling with his batting he just scores 36 runs in a series against England. In 2006 he scored 149 runs New Zealand. In 2008 against India he made 159 runs not out. In that year he scored 1012 runs. in 2010 against India he scored 253 runs not out in first test match and in the second match in the series he played the inning of 114 runs. in 2012 he made his first triple century against India in first test match scored 311 runs not out.in 2015 he also captained south Africa against Sri Lanka and in 2016 he stepped down as captain of south Africa.
Amla made his ODI debut against Bangladesh in 2008. He scored two back to back centuries against Zimbabwe played innings of 110 runs in 1st and 2nd ODIs of the series against Pakistan he made a swift half-century and in 3rd ODI he played an inning of 119 and remained not out. In 2015 he named as man of the series against West Indies and New Zealand. He also holds the record with Quinton De Kock highest partnership for any wicket in ODIs of 282 and remained unbeaten as well. So far he represented South Africa in 174 ODIs and scored 7,910 runs at an average of 49.74 with the help of 27 centuries and 37 half centuries top score of 159.
In T20 format he made his debut after a great performance in ODIs against Australia in 2009. In 2017 he was selected in a World XI squad for 3 T20I against Pakistan in Independence Cup. played 44 T20s for his side scoring 1,277 runs at an average of 33.60 with the best score of 97 runs not out including 8 half-centuries as well.
