Tom Latham Cricket
Thomas William Maxwell Latham is an international cricketer son of former Rod Latham represents New Zealand national cricket team. He is a left-handed wicket-keeper batsman opens the batting for his team and he can bowl right-arm medium. He plays for New Zealand in all three formats of the cricket game.
Domestic Career:
Latham started his domestic career in 2010/11. He debuts for Canterbury cricket team in First Class and Lists A formats. He also captained and played for Canterbury under-19 cricket team in 2008/09 season. He also played in English county cricket. He served three teams in county cricket. He represented Scotland in 2013, Kent cricket club as an overseas player in 2016 where he made his debut against Glamorgan in the county championship. He also signed by Durham cricket club in 2017. So far he played 102 First-class matches scored 7,098 runs at an average of 42.75 with the help of 16 centuries and 41 fifties and his best score is 264 not out and in List A career he played 155 matches scored 4,448 runs with an average of 34.75 with the help of 6 hundred and 26 fifties with top score of 137 runs.
International Career:
Tom Latham made his international debut in ODI for New Zealand in February 2012 against Zimbabwe. He played at no 5 in his first match and scored 24 runs for his side. in 2015 he scored his maiden ODI hundred against Zimbabwe he remained not out on 110 runs. In 2016 he became 10th batsman to carry his bat in ODIs. He also captained New Zealand side on the tour of Ireland in the tri-series against Ireland and Bangladesh. He played for 85 ODIs scored 2,395 runs as batsman with the average of 33.73. his best score is 137 runs. he scored 4 centuries and 14 fifties.
Latham made his test debut against India in 2014 he was not impressed with the bat he scored 29 runs in the first inning and went without any run. On the tour of West Indies, he was brilliant with the bat made 3 fifties in the series and scored 288 runs. first test hundred was against Pakistan in 2014. He played 43 test matches for New Zealand made 3,118 runs so far at an average of 42.71 with the help of 9 hundred and 15 fifties and the highest score is 264 runs not out.
