Colin De Grandhomme Cricket


Colin De Grandhomme is a Zimbabwean born cricketer by profession represents New Zealand national cricket team at international level plays in all three formats of the cricket game. He is a right-handed aggressive batsman batting at lower-middle-order for his side and he is right arm fast-medium bowler.    

Domestic Career:

Grandhomme started his domestic career in Zimbabwe for Manicaland. He represented Zimbabwe Under-19 cricket team at the U-19 world cup 2004. He played for Midlands as well. Whole in 2006/07 season he joined Auckland Aces in the state championship. In 2012 he was selected by Nagenahira Nagas. He also played in IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2017 and Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2018. He also played for Warwickshire country cricket club in 2017/18 season and he joined Northern Districts in 2018. In 2018 he appears in CPL for Jamaica Tallwahs as well.

International Career:

De Grandhomme begins his international career in T20 format against his national born country Zimbabwe in 2012. He played 25 T20s made only 261 runs at an average of 16.31 with the bat and with the bowl he took 10 wickets at an average of 39.10.
De Grandhomm’s ODI debut was against South Africa in 2012 he was looking good with the bat made 36 runs with the bat. He played in 28 matches for his side batting at an average of 29.53 and only 1 fifty with his name and century yet to make while with the bowl he took 18 wickets so far at the high bowling average of 46.33 with 3/26 best bowling figures.


In test de Grandhomme first time played for New Zealand against Pakistan in 2016. He had a dream start to his career scored fifty with the bat and took his maiden 5 wickets haul he was also awarded man of the match for his performance and he became 4th New Zealander cricketer to do this at his debut. He also holds the record of having second fastest test hundred he made only in 71 balls. So far he played 17 test matches scored 820 runs at an average of 37.27 and took 33 wickets with 31.12 bowling average.
