Cricket Ball
A cricket ball is a hard and solid ball used to play in cricket made of a core of cork, which is layered with tightly wound string, and covered by a leather case with a slightly raised sewn seam.
There are two types of cricket balls use to play in cricket matches. One is of a red color which is used to play in test match cricket while another is of a white color cricket ball which is used to play in the limited-overs format. A red color cricket ball is test matches because players are in white color clothes as they can see the ball clearly they don’t have any deflection while white color cricket ball is used in the limited-overs format because players use colored clothes as also they have improved night visibility during under the floodlights day/night matches. Since 2010 pink and orange color balls introduced into the cricket world because of ICC announced Day/night test matches.

Assembling of cricket ballThe diameter of a cricket ball is between 2.8 and 2.86 inches. The circumference measures between 8 and 9 inches. A cricket ball weighs between 5.5 and 5.75 ounces.

Cricket Ball Manufacturers:

There are three main manufacturers of cricket ball manufacturers in international market matches: Kookaburra, Dukes and Sanspareils Greenlands (SG). India uses SG, England, Ireland and the West Indies use Dukes, and all other countries use Kookaburra.

Sanspareils Greenlands (SG):

The company has been the market leader in India with legends like Sunil Gavaskar, Mohammad Azharuddin and Rahul Dravid endorsing the brand. In 2008, Virender Sehwag became an SG brand ambassador.
