Babar Azam Cricket
Muhammad Babar Azam is Pakistani cricketer belongs form Lahore born on 15 October 1994. He begins his cricket career in Lahore as well. At the domestic level, he played for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd from 2010 to present. He also played for Islamabad Leopards form 2012 to 2015. He belongs from a cricketing background with his three cousins Akmal brothers who represented Pakistan at the international level. He captained the Pakistan under-19.

He made his debut in Pakistan cricket team on 31st of May 2015 in home series against Zimbabwe in Lahore where he scored impressive first 50. After Zimbabwe series, he was selected both in ODI and Test squads for series against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka but he couldn’t get the chance in Test series and in ODI series he got the chance only in two matches where he scored only 37 runs.
Babar Azam was included in the squad for the tour of Zimbabwe in 2015 but couldn’t get the chance to play in the series.
In October 2015 English cricket team tour UAE for the series against Pakistan.in that series he was not selected for Test match and he was dropped from test squad without playing a test match but he retained in the ODI squad. In the first match of the series, he scored 62 runs not out which helps Pakistan win the match. He scored 139 in the series with an average of 46.33.
In 2016 Pakistan toured New Zealand where he again impressed everybody in the first ODI Babar Azam scored 62 runs.in third ODI again he scored his fifty he scored 83 runs off 77 balls. Pakistan couldn’t win the series Despite that he was the leading scorer in the series with 145 runs with an average of 72.50 in two ODIs.
In the champions trophy 2017, Babar Azam played very well at crucial number 3 and he scored very important 46 runs off 52 balls only in the big final against India.
He made his Test debut against west indies in 2016.
He made his Twenty 20 Career debut against England in September 2016 he remained not out on 15 runs.

He also holds the record to score fastest 1306 runs in on 25 innings he played and most by any batsman in the world.

Babar Azam is highest runs getter in 2016 by a Pakistani cricketer.
Most ODI runs getter in 2017 as well for Pakistan.
Second most T20i runs getter in 2017 most by a Pakistani cricketer.
In three-match ODI series he the fastest runs scorer. he scored 360 runs.
In three-match T20i series he the highest runs scorer second most in the world and only a Pakistani cricketer.

Baber Azam’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) Career:
In Pakistan super league (PSL) first edition Islamabad United bought him for $25,000 but he suffered from small injury during group stage matches and couldn’t further part of the tournament.in the second edition of PSL in 2017 he moved to Karachi Kings they bought him in $50,000 he scored 291 runs with the average of 32.33. Kings retained him for the third edition in 2018 in the diamond category he was the highest runs scorer in the season scoring 402 runs only in 11 innings with an average of 40.20 he scored 5 fifties in the season. Kings retained him in the platinum category in the fourth edition of PSL as well.
