Ish Sodhi Cricket

Inderbir Singh “Ish” Sodhi is a right-arm leg break bowler plays for New Zealand national side in all three formats of the cricket game. He is a useful lower-order right-handed batsman. He belongs from Ludhiana, Punjab, India. In 2018 he ranked No 1 T20i bowler in ICC’s ranking.



Domestic Career:

Ish Sodi made his Domestic debut for Nothern Districts in 2012/13 season. He also played in BBL Adelaide Strikers in 2017 and for Nottinghamshire in English county cricket as well. In 2018 he was picked by Rajasthan Royals for IPL and he was also picked in CPL by Jamaica Tallawahs.




International Career:

Sodhi made his first international appearance in test cricket against Bangladesh in October 2013 and in 2014 he played an inning of 63 at No 10. So far he played 17 test matches for New Zealand took 41 wickets with the bowling average of 48.58 and best bowling figures of 4/60 and with the bat he was impressive at No 10 scored 3 fifties and made 448 runs with the batting average of 21.33.


In ODls Sodhi made his debut for New Zealand against Zimbabwe in 2015.he is very tough to hit in limited overs cricket. He played 30 ODIs took 39 wickets with bowling figures of 35.76 best bowling figures of 4/58 while in 33 T20is he took 43 wickets with bowling figures of 20.88 with best bowling figures of 3/18.
