Trent Alexander Boult

Trent Alexander Boult is a New Zealander fast bowler represents New Zealand national cricket team at international level in all forms of cricket. He is a right-handed tail ender batsman and a left-arm medium bowler opens the bowling for his side and very effective with his swing bowling. He also took a hat-trick in ODIs in 2018 and in 2015 world cup he was the joint leading wicket-taker. In 2016 he also ranked no 1 in ICC rankings in ODI format.

Domestic career:

Boult started his first-class cricket in 2008/09 season represents Northern Districts. He played for New Zealand A against India U19 team. He also played ICC under-19 world cup in 2008 as well. He played in IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad from 2015-16. In 2017 he joined for only one season then he went to play for Delhi Capitals in 2018 and they retained him for 2019 season as well.

 International Career:

Trent Boult made his first international appearance in test cricket in 2011 against Australia in Hobart. He took 4 in the match and scored 21 runs. In 2012 he came with a strong performance against India and Sri Lanka he took 19 wickets in 5 test matches. He took 6/68 best bowling figures and established himself as a new ball partner of Tim Southee.


In 2012 he made his ODI West Indies in 2015 ICC World Cup he was the leading wicket-taker. Against India, in 2018-19 series he took 5 wickets to haul and became the joint most wicket taker for New Zealand with Richard Hadlee. He played 79 ODIs and took 147 wickets with a bowling average of 24.70 with 7/34 best bowling figures. While in the shorter format of the cricket Boult made his debut against England in 2013 played 25 T20i matches took 37 wickets with a bowling average of 21.18 with best bowling figures of 4/34.
