Alex Tyson Carey

Alex Tyson Carey is an international cricketer who plays for Australia national cricket team and a former Australian rules footballer. Currently, he is a Vice-Captain of the Australian team in the limited overs format and test debut yet to make. He is a left-handed wicket-keeper batsman. he started playing domestic cricket in 2013.

Domestic Career:

Carey started playing his domestic cricket in 2013 he made his debut in first-class cricket for South Australia as a top-order batsman but, he was not successful and he was left out of the team. Later, he realized and became a middle-order wicket-keeper batsman. in 2016-17 Sheffield Shield season he became fourth wicket keeper batsman to take 50 dismissals and score 500 runs with the bat. He took 59 dismissals in total in the tournament. He also played for Australia A against South African A as a wicket-keeper. He also played in JLT Cup where he scored 92 runs and made a massive partnership with Jake Weatherald of 212 runs. he scored his maiden first-class century against Western Australia scored 139 runs against Queensland. In KFC Big Bash league he is playing for Adelaide Strikers in 2017 made debut against Perth Scorchers.

International Career:

Carey has a very short international career he made his ODI debut against England in January 2018 and in T20 format he debuted against New Zealand in February 2018. He played 19 ODIs and 19 T20Is for Australia scored 429 runs at an average of 30.64 with only 1 fifty in ODI and in T20 he scored 125 runs at an average of 13.88 with the top score of 37 runs not out. He takes 19 dismissals in ODI and 16 in T20s.
