Mosaddek Hussain
is from Bangladeshi cricket team. He is a Right-handed batsman and off-spin
bowler. He started his first class and List A cricket in Bangladesh since 2013.He
made 250 and 282 runs in back to back first-class innings and in his 10th the match he passed 1000 first-class runs. He became the first Bangladeshi player
after scoring three double-centuries in October 2015 during his 12th
match. In March 2017 he made his test debut.
Domestic Career:
In two ICC
Under-19 World Cups he played for Bangladesh, in 2012 in Australia and in Abu
Dhabi in 2013-14. In a match against Sri Lanka under-19, (two-match series of the four-day match) in April 2013 he also became captain of his team. He scored 107 runs
in his first match and 74 runs in his second match. He then captained the team
again and scored more than 200 runs in a
five-match series of limited-overs matches. In his third match, he scored 98 runs
and Bangladesh won this match by one wicket. In the same year in an under-19 match
against England he scored 110 not out off 113 balls and took 3 for 38 off 10 overs in a 38-run victory, In that match, he showed marvelous all-around performance and took victory over England.
In National
Cricket League he played for Barisal Division in 2014-15. He scored 250 off 448 balls adding
423 for the fifth wicket with Al-Amin against Rangpur Division at Savar.He
scored 282 off 309 balls after few days
in his next innings. He scored 119 for South Zone in the Bangladesh Cricket
League in the second innings of the last match of the season.
International Career:
On January 20,
2016 he made his Twenty20 International debut for Bangladesh against
Zimbabwe. He became the first player for Bangladesh on 28 September 2016 and
made his One Day International debut against Afghanistan. He was at number seven
in that match and scored 45 runs. In that
match, he achieved his figures of 2-31 off 10 overs and a catch. He became part
of Bangladesh test team in February and played a match against India. In March 2017 in Bangladesh’s 100th Test
match he made his Test debut against Srilanka and scored 75 runs after coming
at number eight in the batting order.
He became part
of Bangladesh’s 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in December 2018. He was also selected for 2019
Cricket World Cup in April 2019.
